Welcome back to Williamsburg Lodge!

As we return to Williamsburg to celebrate Farm Bureau’s 99th anniversary, we come together in a place that helped shape our nation’s history.

Founded as the capital of the Virginia Colony in 1699, Williamsburg was one of America’s first planned cities. It also was home to the oldest legislative assembly in the New World, and played a significant role in the American Revolution. Here, we are reminded of the power of fellowship, determination and unified vision.

No matter where we gather each year, this important event commemorates the achievements of our hardworking farmers and devoted members. Shouldering new and enduring challenges every season, we gather to applaud your inspiring dedication to our industry and your communities.

As we approach our organization’s centennial in February, I hope you all will reflect on the obstacles we’ve overcome together as inspiration for the triumphs ahead. Find inspiration in fellow Farm Bureau members, build connections and envision a future that we can forge together—
for the good of all Virginia agriculture.

I want to thank each of you for representing your county Farm Bureaus. Your attendance will help ensure our members’ interests continue to be addressed, and that Virginia farmers will have a successful future.

While you’re here, I hope you enjoy the company of other Farm Bureau members and the fascinating history of our nation’s humble beginnings.
