White Water Rafting @ ACE Adventure Resort
Trip Information:
- Rafting begins at 9:45 AM, you must arrive by 8:45 AM
- Approximately 45 minute drive from Glade Springs Resort
- 3-4 hour duration
- Trip goes out rain or shine
- ~$110/person - you will be PRD this amount following the event
- Gratuity is not included in the price, please bring cash if you would like to tip your guide
- ACE provides all your river safety equipment…paddle, PFD and helmet
Cancelation Policy:
- You will be penalized $25 if you cancel before September 17
- If you cancel after 12:00 PM on September 17, you will be responsible for the full price of $110

What to Bring:
- Weather appropriate river clothes (wetsuits, booties, and splash jackets are available to rent onsite - learn more here)
- Shoes that will not come off
- If you wish to wear sunglasses, a strap is recommended
- Sunscreen
- Water bottles that can be secured are suggested
- Waterproof cameras that you can secure (like a GoPro helmet camera) or disposable camera with wrist strap are allowed
- change of clothes, dry shoes, and towel for after the trip
Wetsuits, booties and splash jackets
Anything you do not want to get wet or lose, keep in your vehicle. All keys will be secured by the trip leader.
Directions:
For guests using GPS please use the following address:
602 E Main St, Oak Hill, WV - this is the address of the Marathon Gas Station directly across from Minden Road. GPS is often inaccurate when using ACE Adventure Resort as a destination.
From the Marathon Gas Station…
- Turn onto Minden Rd. across from the Marathon Gas Station
- Follow the ACE sign – You are only 2.9 miles away from the ACE Adventure Resort.
- At approximately 1.3 miles, veer left onto McKinney Rd.
- At 2.1 miles, turn right to stay on Minden Rd. (follow ACE sign – do not go straight onto Rocklick Rd.)
- At 2.9 miles turn left at the ACE Adventure Center entrance and stop by the Welcome Center to check-in.
- Drive carefully down these steep mountain roads and slowly pass other cars on unpaved shoulders.
- Also, please drive slowly and watch for children and pets as you pass through the tiny town of Minden, an old mining community with houses located very close to the road.
Car pooling is encouraged!!
